Allianz Insurance has appointed Graham Stait to the position of head of claims operations.

In his new role, Graham will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Allianz’s claims operational strategy, leveraging enhanced people, data and digital capabilities to drive continuous improvement and positive customer outcomes.

In his most recent position as head of supply & experts, Graham was a member of the Claims Management Board and was responsible for overseeing transformational change across Allianz’s Motor Engineering and Claims Investigator functions. He has been responsible for developing a ‘fit-for-future’ motor damage strategy whilst embedding sustainability across Allianz’s supply chain.

Since joining the Allianz graduate programme in 2008, Graham has held a variety of leadership roles across the organisation. In his previous position as claims proposition and change manager, Graham was responsible for delivering improvements to enhance customer experience and streamline claims processes, with a particular focus on digital initiatives, which included a secondment at Allianz’s Global Digital Factory in Munich.

Allianz’s chief claims officer, Graham Gibson said:

He has been an integral member of our Claims Management Board for the last two years and has a wealth of experience, having held some key leadership positions during his time at Allianz. Head of Circular Economy at Volvo Cars

Owain joined Volvo Cars in June 2021 to lead Circular Economy in the Global Sustainability Team. The company has committed to being a circular business by 2040 and has financial, recycled content and CO2 based targets for 2025, all of which Owain is working across the company to make happen. Owain previously worked for circular economy consultancy Oakdene Hollins where he advised businesses on evidence led circular economy implementation.

The presentation will cover the work Volvo Cars is doing to achieve 2025 but mainly focus on the transformational work towards 2040 and the business and value chain changes being considered. Attention will be paid to the way vehicles are being dealt with at the end of life and the complexities of closing material and component loops. Opportunities and challenges which Volvo Cars is facing will be presented including engagement with 3rd parties and increasing pressure from stakeholders.
