ASM Christmas auction lot proceeds to donate to charity feat

ASM Auto Recycling Ltd, an established UK vehicle salvage agents and parts recyclers are offering to donate all the proceeds of the sale of a 2010 Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 Grand Edition CDi 2987cc Turbo Diesel Automatic 7 Speed 4 Door Coupe at auction to The Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

The ASM Team said:

“Given the incredibly tough year that most people have faced, we have decided to try and finish 2020 on a bit of a positive note.

This car is for sale in our online auction ending Wednesday 23rd December and all proceeds from its sale will be donated by ASM to a very special charity – The Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

This is already a smashing piece of repairable salvage (no pun intended), but we think this gesture makes it even better! So let’s getting bidding and raise some funds for this amazing life-saving service.”

Owain joined Volvo Cars in June 2021 to lead Circular Economy in the Global Sustainability Team. The company has committed to being a circular business by 2040 and has financial, recycled content and CO2 based targets for 2025, all of which Owain is working across the company to make happen. Owain previously worked for circular economy consultancy Oakdene Hollins where he advised businesses on evidence led circular economy implementation.

Attention will be paid to the way vehicles are being dealt with at the end of life and the complexities of closing material and component loops. Opportunities and challenges which Volvo Cars is facing will be presented including engagement with 3rd parties and increasing pressure from stakeholders.
