Series two of Depollution from Salvage Wire launches on Tuesday, January 12th 2021. This series expands upon the vision of series one – to bring interesting and inspiring leaders to discuss the vehicle salvage and vehicle recycling industry along with other leaders who can challenge and inspire the whole industry.

In series two, their conversations include leaders from the UK and across the world. Podcasts already recorded or scheduled include SYNETIQ, ELVES and United Catalyst Corporation, and the subjects covered include Reclaimed Parts, Recycler Certification, Leadership, Battery Recycling, Catalyst Recycling, Mindfulness and much more.

Chris Daglis

Chris Daglis of PARTnered Solutions is the first guest on Series Two. Chris has been very much involved with the vehicle salvage and recycling industries his whole life and now focuses on vehicle recalls and recycled parts.

Over the last two years, Chris’ involvement with eBay has given the UK the first-ever certification programme for vehicle recyclers. This certification opens up parts sales opportunities to a whole new range of customers, including vehicle collision repair centres and insurance-funded repairs.

There is one question we ask every single guest on the podcast: “What was your first car and do you have any special memories of the car?”, so far the most common first car is the original Mini, the most exotic, a Datsun 240Z and the special memories were all different, from regularly taking a short-cut home and flooding the car, to never actually driving it because their uncle sold the car! This question continues in series two, so watch out for some great answers and some equally amazing first cars!

Podcasts are easy to access, just click on the link here and subscribe to get all new podcasts downloaded onto your device – once downloaded you can listen to them as and when you want. The same link also gives access to series one.

Head of Circular Economy at Volvo Cars

Owain joined Volvo Cars in June 2021 to lead Circular Economy in the Global Sustainability Team.
