Tyre Boss, OTR tyre supplier heads to CARS 2021 for the second time
As a leading supplier of solid tyres to the metals recycling sector, Tyre Boss has the perfect portfolio of tyres for companies operating in the end of life and auto recycling sectors. As such, the company has confirmed its presence at the Complete Auto Recycling Show (CARS) at Stoneleigh in September for the second time. And with specialist knowledge of machine conversions and applications, it makes specifying the correct tyre simple and straightforward for any ELV business owners looking for new tyres.
Glamorgan-based Tyre Boss is a national OTR tyre supplier and the exclusive distributor in the UK for the range of TY Cushion solid tyres. From the smallest forklift through to the largest wheeled loader there is a solid tyre option designed to prevent flat tyres and punctures, minimise downtime and improve cost of ownership.
The company is run by Wayne and Victoria Collins who have over 20 years of experience in the tyre industry and work with machinery manufacturers, distributors and end-users in waste & recycling businesses, steelworks, agriculture, construction and mining and quarrying. ISO-certified, the company prides itself on customer service and has recently moved HQ to larger premises with warehouse and offices and all operations under one roof. This has enabled the company not only to stock more tyres but a range of larger tyres as well as full wheel assemblies for service exchange customers.
Most recently a new purpose-built static tyre press was delivered to site to expedite turnaround times for pressed tyres and rim sets and speed up tyre swaps. Additional services include a popular buyback scheme, whereby qualifying tyres can be used as part of an exchange for new solid tyres and a 0% finance scheme to help spread the cost.
Sourcing a set of solid tyres can be an expensive business but they will pay back the cost of investment over a long lifetime of use. Highly durable and incredibly hard-wearing a set of solids can eliminate machine downtime due to tyre damage and punctures and require little maintenance throughout their lifetime. On busy ELV and auto-recycling sites where machines are working on long shifts, solid tyres help to maximise machine uptime and operational productivity.
As well as solid tyres, Tyre Boss can source a range of off-highway pneumatic tyres, including tyres and fill and – most recently – winter tyres. The latter was recently introduced into the portfolio to improve safety and productivity on-site in wintry conditions. With better grip and traction, the Hilo BWYN tyre features an innovative block pattern that is optimised for increased traction in demanding and slippery conditions. The tread is composed of multiple sipes per block and manufactured from a special rubber compound designed for snow, mud and ice. Available in sizes from 15.5R25 to 23.5F25 the Hilo is a safe and secure solution designed to provide extra safety for operators.
