Cawleys’ appoints Amanda Clark as new SHEQ Manager

Cawleys are delighted to announce the appointment of Amanda Clark as (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Manager. Health and Safety is high priority for the waste industry and Cawleys are dedicated to doing all they can to ensure robust safeguards in every aspect of their business.

Amanda’s appointment is the latest in a long line of health and safety measures. Amanda who joined the business in September is responsible for compliance and regulations relating to occupational safety and health.

Amanda brings over 20 years’ experience and knowledge in the Health and Safety field with proven experience across multiple environments.

Commenting on her new appointment as new SHEQ Manager, Amanda Clark said:

‘I am looking forward to my new role as the SHEQ Manager responsible for the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management Systems alongside permit compliance. My role means I will always be striving to improve the way the company works and to encourage the whole team to be the best and safest professionals in the industry.”

Owain joined Volvo Cars in June 2021 to lead Circular Economy in the Global Sustainability Team. The company has committed to being a circular business by 2040 and has financial, recycled content and CO2 based targets for 2025, all of which Owain is working across the company to make happen. Owain previously worked for circular economy consultancy Oakdene Hollins where he advised businesses on evidence led circular economy implementation.

Attention will be paid to the way vehicles are being dealt with at the end of life and the complexities of closing material and component loops. Opportunities and challenges which Volvo Cars is facing will be presented including engagement with 3rd parties and increasing pressure from stakeholders.
