In a recent post on Linkedin, Jason said:

“The day has come (31st Jan 2022) for me to say farewell to my position as Client Relationship Director at SYNETIQ and take a break from the industry that has been my passion for almost 3 decades.

To say it’s been a rollercoaster would be an understatement. I remember the early days at FAB in Lydbrook in the 90s, breaking a handful or so BMWs annually for parts. Having to wash our hands in a bucket with water pulled from the brook that ran under the building. It’s a far cry to playing a part in the formulation of SYNETIQ in 2019 and assisting its growth and shaping its culture in some small way into the £150M+ a year company it is today.

One part of the journey I am extremely proud of which has driven me and the team on over all these years was being the first (and only) UK Vehicle Recycling Company to be Carbon Neutral and promoting the environmental benefits of using Second hand, Used, Green or Reclaimed parts again until they can’t be safely reused anymore. It’s just amazing that I’m not the only one shouting about that now with sustainability at the beating heart of all the best companies in the world.  SYNETIQ is leading the way still in this regard in the UK with its Carbon Literacy and Road to Tomorrow initiatives with Net Zero being the ultimate goal.

So many people to thank….my FAB colleagues (you know who you are!) who will forever be special, Richard Martin and the Motorhog crew who saw the potential in our little company in 2017, my Connected Solutions and Recycling Industry buddies who have inspired me, and last but not least, since 2019, SYNETIQ and the many talented, ambitious passionate people who are taking it to the next level and beyond.

Finally, the clients & customers who have trusted me and the team with their brands and to provide many 1000s of quality assured OE green parts back for re-use, often in the correct colour… mainly blue and white!

It’s cliché but the time is right for some family time. I will still be championing and shouting about the significant environmental and financial benefits of using OE green parts over new parts at every opportunity and just maybe in between climbing mountains somewhere with my super wife Nicky trying to figure out what salvage and green parts might look like in 2023!”
