Copart is excited to see things taking shape at its Colchester Operation Centre, with infrastructure upgrades now well underway as part of its ongoing sustainability refurbishment programme and Plan-Net-Zero commitment towards a greener future.
It may be business as usual for Copart Colchester, but exciting new developments are taking place…
As the partner of choice for most major insurers, alongside Copart’s continued efforts to expand and improve its range of customer services, the company has a responsibility to operate sustainably and ethically.
Copart’s programme to upgrade and replace offices at its nationwide Operation Centres will ensure that going forward, its offices are always inclusive, energy efficient, and constructed in an environmentally friendly way.
In line with the blueprint already established by the recent refurbishment of Copart’s Bristol Operation Centre, the company is making sure that its new Colchester office will also be ‘fit for the future’!
Once completed, it will offer strong green credentials – with state-of-the-art insulation, low-energy LED lighting, and new onsite waste treatment facilities to filter and clean water, all contributing towards a sustainable and environmentally friendly office.
With increasing demand for electric and hybrid vehicles continuing to gather pace, Copart is taking the opportunity to future-proof this location by adding areas for vehicles like these, which require specialist handling, as well as onsite electric vehicle charging facilities.
Other works underway on-site include brand-new areas for vehicle preparation and processing, which will enable vehicle inspections, valeting, and 360° imaging – all helping to provide complete transparency to buyers at Copart’s online auctions.
Copart is proud that its Colchester Operation Centre is located within a recognised area of outstanding beauty, surrounded by magnificent oak trees. With that in mind, the company is committed to playing its part in helping to improve air quality and encourage nature to the area, so it will also be planting additional trees along the entrance road.
The upgrade is due to be completed later this year.
