A consultation on draft new guidance from the Environment Agency (EA) explaining the appropriate measures for permitted facilities that store and treat end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) or components is open for stakeholder views.
The purpose of this consultation is to get stakeholder views on the draft new guidance. The guidance sets out appropriate measures for permitted facilities that take end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) for storage and treatment.
The EA has produced this guidance to improve how permitted facilities in the ELV sector operate. The EA want to make sure that standards are clear, consistent, proportionate, and enforceable.
The guidance will apply to existing and new facilities that take ELVs for storage or treatment.

The EA will review the responses to the consultation and use them to revise the proposed guidance. The revised guidance will be published on GOV.UK.
