Recently, on Twitter, the National Body Repair Association (NBRA) asked whether some green parts are now costing more than OEM parts as they have been made aware of what may become an alarming trend in the green parts industry where parts are sold off, and costs are inflated.
The tweet read:
“We have been made aware of what may become an alarming trend in the green parts industry where parts are sold off and costs are inflated. If so we want to ensure that repairers are not losing money. Let us know!’”
A link was provided to a short survey asking repairers if they have found green parts more expensive than new parts and what supplier have priced their parts higher than retail.
ATF Professional contacted the NBRA, who replied that they will be issuing a statement within the next few days.
