Copart Supports Pride Month 2023

To mark Pride Month 2023, Copart has committed to sponsoring the Milton Keynes Pride festival once again, and the company is rolling out further diversity and inclusion training to over 1,300 Copart teammates.

Copart has a culture that has always welcomed equality, diversity, and inclusion and is proud to say that its Senior Management Team and wider workforce are as diverse as the communities in which the company operate.

Having a positive impact on the local communities where its teammates, customers, and partners live and work, forms an important part of the Copart Cares commitment.

As a supportive ally to the LGBTQ+ community, Copart proudly sponsoring the MK Pride Festival for the third consecutive year, which is held only a short distance from its Wootton HQ and Customer Excellence Centre in Bedford.

This event always gives the company a perfect opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness of its Copart Family (and local communities) and demonstrate its zero-tolerance stance on discrimination and intolerance.

But of course, Copart remains mindful of diversity and inclusion all year round. It’s very important to the company that every teammate always demonstrates, and receives, tolerance and respect.

With that in mind, to mark Pride Month 2023 this June, Copart is rolling out ‘Diversity Basics’ training to over 1,300 teammates across the UK.

This training will help its teammates to be better equipped to understand the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion and appreciate how essential it is in maintaining both a healthy workplace and personal well-being.

Owain joined Volvo Cars in June 2021 to lead Circular Economy in the Global Sustainability Team. The company has committed to being a circular business by 2040 and has financial, recycled content and CO2 based targets for 2025, all of which Owain is working across the company to make happen. Owain previously worked for circular economy consultancy Oakdene Hollins where he advised businesses on evidence led circular economy implementation.

The presentation will cover the work Volvo Cars is doing to achieve 2025 but mainly focus on the transformational work towards 2040 and the business and value chain changes being considered. Attention will be paid to the way vehicles are being dealt with at the end of life and the complexities of closing material and component loops. Opportunities and challenges which Volvo Cars is facing will be presented including engagement with 3rd parties and increasing pressure from stakeholders.
