In conjunction with fire-fighting specialists Packattack, the BMRA will be hosting a workshop on fighting fires in the scrap metal industry on 7 November.
The workshop will be based on a new system, developed by Packattack called Zero-2-Five-20. Already in place in sites across England, this system helps members identify steps that can be put in place to help reduce fires to zero, but also how best to tackle fires on different sites when they do occur.
Hosted by Merseyside Fire Service at their Liverpool HQ, the workshop will also feature training on lithium-ion battery fires. This workshop will be suitable for all employees on the ground, from operatives to site managers to business owners.
