In its first EcoVadis rating, SYNETIQ was placed in the top 25% of more than 100,000 other businesses assessed worldwide, earning a silver medal.

EcoVadis is an internationally recognised sustainability platform that evaluates companies across a range of criteria, including environment, social and ethical practices.

SYNETIQ has implemented numerous initiatives to reduce and mitigate its carbon footprint, minimise waste and promote ethical and responsible businesses practices, including committing to set Science Based Targets as part of its ongoing sustainability drive.

It has led the vehicle recycling industry in sustainable development initiatives since its inception. SYNETIQ calculated the true carbon footprint of their operations and became the first Carbon Literate organisation in the sector in 2021, then in 2022, introduced a carbon saving certification scheme for its clients. In another industry-first, in 2023, it announced carbon labelling on its green parts. The business has always been one step ahead in supporting its clients and customers to adopt, develop and demonstrate their sustainable capabilities.

Commenting on the achievement, Elisa Caton, Sustainability Manager at SYNETIQ, said:

“This award is a great recognition for our continued objective to improve our sustainability performance and report on our plans and progress in a transparent way.”
