Howden Insurance has more than 25 years of experience and specialist knowledge within the vehicle and metal recycling industry, which has been gained by working closely with trade associations allied to the sector for many years.

Howden has specific insurance products for vehicle recyclers with all the relevant covers, including Public Liability, Employers’ Liability, and Road Risks.

“When you go to an insurance broker that doesn’t understand the unique needs of your vehicle recycling and/or metal recycling business, you risk overpaying and getting inadequate cover. You need a broker who knows the environmental regulations and understands scrap licensing, in addition to the health and safety rules that you’re exposed to.

We’ll use our in-depth understanding of the vehicle recycling, salvage, and dismantling industries, to advise you on the cover you need to protect your business.

Our team aims to visit every site to offer a bespoke review of your insurance requirements and provide guidance around risk management of your business with support from quality insurers we partner with. We have a dedicated in-house claims team on hand when you need us the most and can provide period reviews and report as required.

Insurance is an investment in the future of your business.”

The salvage and recycling operating environment is evolving rapidly, and e2e is anticipating, listening and responding to changing market needs.  Regulatory compliance, ESG, reclaimed parts, customer experience, EVs, new vehicle technologies, data and reputation risk are just some of many considerations linked to the procurement of salvage services.  e2e will drive further added value to clients and members through the adoption and application of emerging technologies, continuing to differentiate its proposition and position salvage services as a professional partnership.
