Meeting the team that provides customer care will give you an insight into the benefits of investing in a piece of Green Car Equipment. The Green Car customer care program works with you to maximise your equipment’s productivity, uptime, and profitability. It’s a service that utilises a state-of-the-art electronic customer service system, together with personal dedicated after-sales care. Tailor-made, periodic service packages are offered for peace of mind. However, even if you prefer to pay as you go, the system will flag up each piece of equipment’s service & parts history. Green Cars system will also proactively identify predictable service requirements, and the team will be in regular touch with customers to keep your equipment running smoothly and reduce costly downtimes.

You will be able to discuss training options and additional services. Training is an area that Green Car specialise in, and they will be happy to provide bespoke training plans to meet your Health and Safety requirements. As the first Depollution Equipment provider in the UK to understand the importance of onsite training (Green Car were the first Depollution company to offer City and Guilds on-site F-Gas certification), they believe that training should take place on your own equipment at your premises. This means your staff don’t need to travel to classrooms, minimising costs and downtime. On-site training also allows us to be flexible with your business’s equipment, processes and setup.

Training

You will be in safe hands as Green Cars’ skilled trainers and engineers undertake rigorous training themselves, completing both internal and external courses. These skills include a good awareness of environmental, health, and safety practices, as well as a range of engineering skills, giving expertise in depollution equipment, pumping systems, compressors, and vehicle lifts, to name a few. Green Car is committed to the continuous improvement of its people’s skills, and following the accreditation of internal trainers, it plans for all service engineers to become fully accredited Lift Engineers by mid-2024. An area frequently highlighted by the HSE and Insurance providers, this will support Green Car customers staying compliant with LOLER and PUWER.

Other services include gold standard installation and pipework services, Tank inspections, and Fuel Management systems, to name a few.

After visiting the showroom, you will be invited to look around the warehouse and, finally, the nearby assembly plant. As the company has grown, substantial investment has been made in running a streamlined operation. Green Car successfully operates using the ‘LEAN’ methodology. Simply put, it is a way of optimising people, resources, effort, and energy – reducing wastage, lowering the carbon footprint, and creating value for the customer.

The system will be demonstrated in the assembly plant. Green Car proudly manufactures equipment in the United Kingdom. With a wealth of highly skilled engineering services (most with military and aerospace contracts) on the doorstep, the supply chain is of the highest calibre, and critical quality control is applied efficiently.

In addition to manufacturing equipment to ease the environmental burden of ELVs, Green Car also works hard to reduce its own carbon footprint as a business.

Being based in Tewkesbury, whose town regularly suffers from flooding, the business and employees know too well the importance of driving down emissions and the effect of global warming. To achieve this, they have a huge proportion of suppliers within a 50-mile radius, which, in turn, also supports many local businesses. Even then, they know there is still some environmental impact that the manufacturing processes will have, which is why, as well as funding many carbon offsetting projects, to date, they have planted 2012 trees in the UK and worldwide!

Another important reason for prioritising UK supply chains in the last few years is that unprecedented events such as Brexit, Covid, containers stuck in Panama, war in Ukraine and Diversions from the Red Sea have played havoc with supply chains and demonstrated the need for keeping a fully stocked warehouse and predominantly local supply chains.

The last thing a manufacturer wants is to sell equipment and then find that it cannot provide timely spares deliveries.

You may also notice the prepared ‘grab and go’ replenished stock boxes in the warehouse, ready for our engineers to load into their vehicles for their following service calls.

Green Cars stock holding and forward planning have produced a slick spares supply system. You can place an order through our online ordering system, sales line, or with our knowledgeable engineers, who are on hand to chat with you regarding any queries. Stock orders placed before 12 pm are despatched on next-day delivery service as we understand how detrimental something not working can be!

“Which way you want to get in touch with the company is accommodated as each customer has its own way of working; we can even help you and chat through any of our social media platforms if that’s easier for you!”

“Visitors come away impressed with the professional team, the quality of equipment, and the impressive stock levels and services on offer, but Green Car is first to point out that its most valuable assets are, of course, its customers.”
