Further Expansion for Copart in Cambridgeshire

Global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, Copart UK, have announced further expansion works are planned at their Operation Centre in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

Further Expansion for Copart in Cambridgeshire p

Once completed, the expansion will make Wisbech a 25-acre site, increasing their annual vehicle storage capabilities in Cambridgeshire by 30%.

This expansion is part of Copart’s extensive reinvestment strategy to meet continued demand from their customers, including most of the UK’s major insurance companies and thousands of nationwide automotive customers.

This includes a programme of land acquisition alongside continuous improvement at existing sites and reinvestment in transport, services, and technology.

Today’s news follows a series of similar growth and investment announcements from Copart this year, including new sites in Chelmsford, Gloucester and St Helens, and continued expansion at their Operation Centres in Peterlee, and Sandtoft.

Jane Pocock, CEO of Copart UK & Ireland, said:

“This expansion in Wisbech will increase annual vehicle storage capacity to 28,000 in Cambridgeshire, further supporting our continued growth and enabling us to provide an even higher level of service to Copart customers operating in this area.

“The additional storage capacity will enable us to offer unique contingency land to our customers following extreme weather events and further expand our range of market-leading vehicle remarketing and recycling services.”
