Steer Automotive Group has taken a significant step forward in its growth journey by acquiring Rye Street Group, a well-established and respected accident repair business with a robust presence across Hertfordshire and Essex. This acquisition strengthens Steer’s position as a premier automotive repair provider in the UK, enabling the company to deepen collaboration with its client partners and expand its service offerings.

Rye Street Group, a trusted name in the industry since 1990, operates a network of seven repair centres and boasts 23 manufacturer approvals and 24 insurer approvals. This acquisition not only enhances Steer’s geographical footprint but also aligns with its commitment to delivering top-tier customer experiences and maintaining its reputation for excellence.

As part of this transition, Rye Street’s Managing Directors, Bill Duffy and Lee McNaughton will step down, while Nick Ferris and the senior management team will continue to lead the business. This ensures a smooth transition and allows Rye Street to maintain its high service standards, which are now backed by the additional resources and expertise of Steer Automotive Group.

Steer Automotive Group Chief Executive, Richard Steer, commented:

“We are very pleased to welcome Rye Street Group into the Steer family. This acquisition is a strategic step towards our vision of providing unmatched automotive repair services across the UK. We are particularly excited to welcome our new colleagues, whose expertise and dedication have laid a strong foundation that we are eager to build upon. Together, we will deliver even greater value to our customers and partners, driving forward our commitment to excellence in everything we do.”
