EVolution of a Partnership: Ten Years of Innovation Between Green Car Depollution & MotorGreen Group

The end-of-life vehicle recycling industry is an ever-evolving one, requiring ATFs to adapt and invest in technology to stay ahead. Green Car Depollution (Green Car)take pride in supporting industry leaders in keeping up to date with the equipment & technology required to handle these changes.

One of their valued partnerships has been with MotorGreen Group Ltd, a relationship that has been nearly a decade in the making.

The Beginnings of a Strong Partnership

It all started back in 2016 when Green Car’s founders, Olivia Hutchins and Julian Dale, met MotorGreen’s Director, Dragan, at an industry trade event.

Right from the outset, it was clear that he was an entrepreneur with a strong vision and a commitment to excellence”. Olivia said, of all those years ago!

Over this past decade, they have worked closely with MotorGreen, supporting their growth and evolving needs with depollution and dismantling solutions. Through mutual trust and collaboration, they have assisted MotorGreen in becoming a more future-ready operation. In 2017, MotorGreen knew they needed to start making bigger moves in the export world, and so their first investment with Green Car was for a Side Tip Vehicle Preparation Stand, which enabled them to speed up and safety-net the removal of ELV parts and engines.

A Shared Commitment to Innovation

Processing up to 5,000 ELVs a year, MotorGreen knows a thing or two about both the successes and challenges of being a high-volume ATF. They have continued to be proactive in identifying industry shifts and ensuring they stay ahead of the curve, and so over the years, they have added a wide range of Green Car’s ancillary items to their processes to keep up with the changes.

Fast forward to 2024, where one of the industry’s biggest challenges to date was becoming harder and harder to ignore… EVs.

Nick Mihic, MotorGreen Director, said:

“We have recognised that electric vehicles (EVs) will soon become a significant part of our workload, and we need something to futureproof ourselves against that”

And so, with that in mind, their next investment was Green Car’s latest innovative triumph—a vehicle lift engineered to accommodate EV, Hybrid, and conventional engine vehicles.

The EV Lift has been installed alongside Green Car’s Battery Table, which allows EV and Hybrid batteries to be safely lowered from the underside of the vehicle and easily transported for storage or sale.

As Dragan puts it, “It is a great idea, well-built equipment that saves us a lot of time and allows us to work safely.”

Other solutions installed as part of the commission included bespoke pumping cabinets for ELV fluid removal. Green Car recognises that not all solutions are “one-size-fits-all,” and their in-house design and fabrication team can create custom-built items to meet customer specifications.

Designed for Efficiency and Safety

One of the biggest advantages that MotorGreen recognised of the latest installation is how much easier and more efficient the EV lift does the job. Sturdy wheel cradles simplify battery removal and improve accessibility, while the solid, well-thought-through structure design enhances both safety and workflow. These new systems have really elevated their depollution and dismantling operations.

A Smooth Process, from Ordering to After-Sales Support

Ensuring a seamless experience from order to installation has always been Green Car’s priority. MotorGreen has found the ordering process smooth, and Green Car’s team are extremely helpful throughout. After-sales support is another area where they strive to exceed expectations. As Nick notes: “Green Car’s engineers are first-class – they always go out of their way but never get in the way! The install was completed smoothly, and the office team has been great for ordering spares and answering any questions we might have.”

Global Recognition for Best-in-Class Equipment

MotorGreen’s investment in Green Car Depollution equipment has not gone unnoticed. Recently, visitors from India toured the site and were particularly impressed with the EV Vehicle Power Lift, taking photos and recognising the cutting-edge nature of the technology. This kind of recognition underscores the global impact of investing in high-quality, innovative depollution solutions as MotorGreen has.

Looking to the Future

As MotorGreen Group continues to evolve, Green Car remain committed to delivering the highest standard of depollution and dismantling solutions. Their partnership stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision for a more efficient and sustainable future in vehicle recycling.
