ESS Expo 2025 welcomes new CARS and MRE shows

Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS Expo) is expanding with the additions of the Complete Auto Recycling Show (CARS) and the Metals Recycling Event (MRE). The two events join ESS Expo for the first time to provide a comprehensive view of the entire automotive parts lifecycle.

ESS Expo 2025 welcomes new CARS and MRE shows p

Taking place 17–18 September 2025 at the NEC Birmingham, this year’s ESS Expo combines an impressive portfolio of shows that make up the UK’s biggest stage for environmental services.

CARS brings together vehicle dismantlers, authorised treatment facilities, salvage yards, parts traders, brokers, and transporters at what has long been recognised as Europe’s leading event for the vehicle recycling industry. Visitors can expect to connect with leading industry experts, explore the latest advancements in auto recycling, and witness processes live in action. Highlights include a live demonstration area and a live vehicle depollution area, offering an immersive, hands-on experience for attendees.

Exhibitors such as AutoDrain, RS Automotive Core Ltd, and Tyre Boss Ltd will be among the 39 leading companies showcasing innovation and expertise.

MRE will showcase solutions from prominent organisations across the metals recycling value chain, including Automet Ltd, the British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA), Hensel Recycling, Lindemann, and Raw Material Cover. Here, for the first time, attendees will gain insight through specialised networking events, collaborative workshops, and engaging demonstrations, creating valuable opportunities to meet buyers, customers and industry leaders.

Together, the events mark ESS Expo as the leading event for the vehicle and metals recycling and dismantling sectors.

Rob Mowat, Event Director of ESS Expo, said:

“Recycling, recovering, and salvaging materials play a very significant role in reducing emissions and conserving resources, by decreasing the need for energy-intensive mining processes.

With the introduction of CARS and MRE to ESS Expo, we are creating a platform where environmental sustainability meets actionable innovation for vehicle and metals recycling. Both the metals and automotive parts sectors offer valuable learnings and opportunities with deeper insight into end-of-life vehicle processing and sustainable metal recovery. The CARS and MRE events will broaden industry representation and inspire collaboration to strengthen the environmental services sector.”
