How TechInspect Is Setting a Global Standard for Vehicle Inspections

TechInspect, the technology division of Hudson Kapel, is improving consistency in vehicle inspections worldwide through its TechInspect Inspection and Workshop platform. The tool enables accurate, repeatable inspections across all vehicle types, including salvage vehicles. It features automatic vehicle identification through registration or VIN, guided workflows suitable for non-specialists, and templates aligned with recognised industry standards, such as those from the BVRLA or NAMA.

Standardising inspections helps create clarity across markets, ensuring that buyers and sellers work from a common understanding. The result is improved transparency, better data quality, and stronger trust in the process.

How HK’s Digital Platform Enhances Speed, Clarity and Confidence

We’ve invested over £1 million in a new digital auction platform designed to provide accurate, well-structured data to support confident buying decisions. The platform offers high-quality imagery, clear vehicle descriptions, and a streamlined user journey, whether on desktop or mobile.

For buyers, this means a faster, more accessible way to browse and bid. For vendors, it ensures every vehicle is presented to its best advantage, with the right data reaching the right audience. It also shortens the time between listing and delivery, which is critical in a fast-moving market.

HK’s Tailored Approach to High-Value Vehicles

We handle vehicles ranging from everyday run-arounds to supercars. Our extensive facilities mean we can securely store high-value vehicles and present them in a professional, controlled environment using dedicated image booths.

We target premium vehicles to the most relevant buyers from our wide customer base. A tailored approach ensures vehicles are matched to demand and managed with the appropriate care.

Scalable Solutions for a Diverse Customer Base

Regardless of buyer size, every customer receives the same professional and responsive service. Whether someone is sourcing salvage stock for parts or seeking specific vehicles for resale, the priorities are the same: speed, clarity, and value. Our systems and processes are designed to meet these expectations at scale.

Smarter Valuations and Faster Decisions for the Future of Salvage

Artificial intelligence is already playing a role in improving both accuracy and speed in salvage valuation. By analysing a combination of vehicle history, market trends, and damage data, AI tools can support faster, more consistent valuations.

AI is helping us match buyers to vehicles based on previous interest and purchasing behaviour, improving relevance and efficiency throughout the auction process.

We combine this technology with data from multiple sources, including HPI checks and our own inspections, to create a detailed and reliable view of each vehicle.
