Powerhand doubles VRS warranty to two years

New warranty reflects confidence in VRS build quality and support

Powerhand is pleased to announce that all models in its Vehicle Recycling System (VRS) range will now come with a standard two-year warranty, replacing the previous one-year coverage. This applies to units dispatched on or after 1 July 2025 in the UK.

Designed and manufactured at Powerhand’s Dumfries facility, the range includes the VRS140 (for 14-18 tonne machines), VRS180 (16-20 tonnes) and VRS200 (20-25 tonnes). Each model combines the dexterity grapple, and clamp legs that pin vehicles down for efficient dismantling. The VRS200 has the dexterity grapple with integrated shear and VRS200 clamp with clamp legs that open/close to process engines and gearboxes, and raise/lower to firmly grip vehicles bodies during processing.

All VRS models are built from high-strength Swedish alloy steel to ensure continuous performance in demanding recycling environments. The slender grapple offers an unbroken line of sight, enabling operators to recover valuable components, including copper wiring looms, engines, axles and suspension components with precision and speed.

Murray Clark, Managing Director at Powerhand, said:

“We engineered the VRS range to stand up to heavy daily use and maximise operator efficiency. By extending the warranty to two years, we are backing the product quality and the after sales support we provide.”
