A few weeks ago, Chas informed the VRA Committee of his intention to leave at the end of March 2026. However, he advised the Association on Tuesday (7th October) of his decision to bring that forward and resign with immediate effect.

In a statement from the VRA, it said:

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Chas for his long and dedicated service to the Association and to wish him every success in the future.”

The Committee will be holding a full meeting on Friday (10th October), after which they will update all members on interim arrangements for contacting the Association, accessing support, and related matters.

Since Chas first informed the VRA of his plans to leave, the Committee has already begun a full review of how the Association operates and the value it delivers to members. Significant progress has been made in preparing proposals for modernisation, including new initiatives, partnerships, and enhanced member services. These developments will be presented for your consideration and approval at the AGM in December.
