Motofix Embraces ARIES: Setting the Standard for Sustainable Vehicle Repair

Motofix, a leading UK vehicle repair group, is strengthening its commitment to sustainability by becoming one of the first in the industry to adopt ARIES, the Accident Repair Industry Environmental Standard. Building on its achievement as one of the earliest PAS 2060 Carbon Neutral certified repair groups, Motofix continues to lead the way with practical, science-based actions to reduce its environmental impact across all operations.

Motofix stated:

“At Motofix, sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment that defines how we operate.

In 2020, Motofix became one of the first UK repair groups to achieve PAS 2060 Carbon Neutral certification, maintaining compliance across all ten sites every year since. Over that period, we’ve delivered a 20% reduction in absolute carbon emissions, demonstrating measurable progress through genuine action, not offsetting alone.

Now, we’re proud to be among the first accident repair groups to adopt ARIES – the Accident Repair Industry Environmental Standard. ARIES is the sector-specific sustainability framework designed to succeed PAS 2060 and drive meaningful, evidence-based environmental improvement across the repair industry.

All ten Motofix locations are already registered on the ARIES portal, with formal declarations of commitment submitted. Working in partnership with ECA Business Energy, we are now progressing through the ARIES implementation framework to:

  • Measure and report our full carbon footprint annually
  • Implement a science-based carbon reduction plan (SBTi)
  • Continue raising the bar for sustainable repair practices across our network

Sustainability at Motofix isn’t a standalone initiative; it’s embedded in our operations and everything we do. From renewable energy procurement and group-wide LED rollouts to supplier engagement, employee training, and data-driven performance monitoring, environmental stewardship is integral to our culture.

By adopting ARIES, Motofix is taking the next step in supporting insurers, accident management companies, and OEM partners who share our ambition for a more sustainable repair ecosystem.

We’re proud to continue leading by example — setting the standard for a cleaner, more responsible future for our industry.”
