The British Vehicle Salvage Federation hosts its annual event wider than ever before, with free daytime access for non-members marking a significant step forward for the sector.
The British Vehicle Salvage Federation (BVSF) has confirmed that its 2026 Annual General Meeting and Seminar will take place from 10:00 am on Wednesday 7th May at the Woodland Grange Hotel in Leamington Spa. This year, the event comes with a change that the wider salvage industry will want to take note of.
For the first time, the BVSF is opening its daytime programme to non-members of the Federation, entirely free of charge. That means professionals from across the vehicle salvage and end-of-life vehicle sector who have not previously attended a BVSF event now have a genuine opportunity to walk through the doors, take in a strong line-up of presentations and explore the display area. It is a move that signals the BVSF’s clear intent to broaden its reach across the industry.
For existing BVSF members and strategic partners only, the full day remains complimentary, covering access to the AGM itself, all presentations, a buffet lunch, and the always-valued opportunity to network with peers from across the salvage industry. The extension of free daytime access to non-members, specifically covering the presentations and the display area, is new and represents a meaningful lowering of the barriers to engagement with the Federation and everything it does.
A Speaker Line-Up That Means Business
The 2026 seminar programme is shaping up to be one of the more substantive in recent years. Confirmed speakers are expected to include representatives from Ernst & Young, LKQ/SYNETIQ, ATF Professional, The ABP Club, the Environment Agency and the MCIA. That breadth of representation, spanning financial and consultancy expertise, major industry operators, regulatory bodies and motorcycling sector interests, reflects the increasingly complex landscape that salvage operators are navigating, from evolving environmental compliance requirements to the shifting economics of parts recovery and the growing challenge posed by alternatively fuelled vehicles.
Adding further practical value to the day, training specialists QSP will run a taster session alongside the main programme, giving attendees a hands-on flavour of the compliance and operational training options available to businesses in the sector.
Indoor Displays and a Vehicle Transport Showcase
The display area is set to be particularly well represented this year. Indoor exhibitors confirmed so far include Monteith Insurance, QSP, Abanaki, Wickens Engineering, ATF Professional, Techemet, and Elevate (CTB). Meanwhile, Belle Trailers and Transporter Engineering have both confirmed they will be bringing a selection of car transporters to the event, a practical and tangible addition that will be of particular interest to those involved in vehicle movement and logistics.
For those considering exhibiting, the BVSF has confirmed there is still capacity for additional displayers. Businesses interested in becoming a Strategic Partner, a status which provides display rights at BVSF events throughout the year, are encouraged to get in touch directly.
Roger West on Why This Year Is Different

BVSF Secretary General Roger West is clear about what he hopes the expanded format will achieve:
“This year, we are opening up the event to non-members from the salvage industry so they can come and see what we do,” he said. “It is an opportunity not to be missed, and I look forward to meeting everyone on the day.”
It is a simple but significant statement of intent. The BVSF has long been the representative body for vehicle salvage operators across the UK, and widening access to its annual event, even for a single day, gives those outside the membership a genuine first-hand look at the Federation’s work, its expertise and the community it represents.
The Day Doesn’t End There
For those who want to make a full occasion of it, the BVSF is also offering a ticketed evening dinner with entertainment, giving members and non-members alike the chance to extend the day’s networking into a more relaxed and social setting. It is the kind of end-of-day opportunity that has become increasingly valued at industry events, where some of the most productive conversations happen away from the formal programme. Tickets for the evening dinner are available separately, and anyone wishing to attend should include their interest when contacting the BVSF.
How to Attend
The event begins at 10:00 am. Existing members can join the AGM, whilst non-members wishing to take advantage of the free daytime seminar, or enquire about tickets for the evening dinner, should contact the BVSF Secretary General, Roger West, directly by emailing email@bvsf.org.uk to request an invitation and booking form. Members and exhibitors should use the same contact for all event-related enquiries.
For a sector that continues to face significant regulatory, technological and commercial pressures, the BVSF AGM and Seminar remains one of the most focused and relevant gatherings in the annual calendar. The decision to open it up more widely in 2026 is a welcome one.
