This year’s convention which was held at Walt Disney World’s Dolphin Resort between 31st October to 3rd November was one of ARA’s most successful events yet.
Nearly 900 professional automotive recyclers, industry vendors, suppliers, and supporters made it to the venue to celebrate ARA’s 75th year.
Recyclers were drawn from all over the world; 14 countries were represented at the conference: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, and South Korea.
Jonathan Morrow of M&M Auto Parts in Fredericksburg, Virginia took over as ARA President, succeeding David Gold. RD Hopper was recognised for his service on the Executive Committee and Marty Hollingshead was welcomed as ARA’s new Secretary. Several STAR Awards were given out during the Recyclers Roundtable and on the Friday evening’s Big Beach Bash.
Speakers ranged from recyclers, governmental officials, industry experts, and ARA debuted new peer-to-peer panels for both full-service and self-service operations which proved to be among the most popular sessions.
The Exhibit Hall was sold out with 90 different companies and 135 booth spaces. Space for the 2019 ARA Exposition is selling fast and more information will be available soon.
