ATF Professional is to host a series of free webinars on the 19th, 20th and 26th of January 2021 for the vehicle recycling industry.
Bringing together leaders and commentators of the industry, the three mornings of events are essential for those involved in the vehicle recycling industry to attend and gain valuable insight and provide plenty of thought.
2020 was a year beyond its everyday challenges where vehicle recyclers remained operational as they were considered an essential service. Although many adjustments have been made, the industry has not stood still with much investment and developments happening throughout. These webinars have been created to bring those attending up-to-date and look at what the future holds for the vehicle recycling industry.
Artemis Hatzi-Hull, Directorate-General Environmental for the European Commission will be discussing the new approach to the ELV Directive. And presenting on the issue of Brexit will be e2e’s Chief Operating Officer, Neil Joslin. Copart’s MD Jane Pocock will be discussing the ‘Future for Salvage’. SYNETIQ’s Chief Executive, Tom Rumboll and Dr Walter R Stahel, one of the world’s foremost commentators on the circular economy, will address the issue of sustainability.
Providing the perspective of the insurance industry will be Adam Murray, Motor Technical Manager at AVIVA. Andrew Marsh from Ezi-Methods, who presented at ATF Professional’s conference in November 2019 and EMR’s MD of Innovation and Technology, Roger Morton will address the potential effects of electric vehicles now and in the long run.
As well as providing valuable insight, there will be an opportunity to ask all of the presenters questions using the webinars’ platform. A unique feature of these webinars is that attendees can vote on questions put forward by others and the most voted for will be asked to the speakers.
The COVID pandemic has made it impossible for traditional conferences to go ahead and many people like to attend them to meet up with old friends and make new acquaintances. Understanding that this would be the first opportunity for the vehicle recycling industry to mingle since ATF Professional’s last conference in November 2019, the webinars will offer plenty of networking opportunities. Before, during and after the presentations, those attending can arrange video chats either one to one or even invite up to seven others to join them in a group video chat.
Haydn Davies from ATF Professional commented:
“One of the challenges we have is that with such a stellar line up of speakers, there will be plenty of quality content being provided, but at the same time, we understand how busy those who will be attending are. So we have decided to arrange a series of morning webinars so that the whole day is not taken up when people might otherwise be distracted.
The idea is to make yourself a cup of something, interact with those attending the event, listen to some great and thought-provoking speakers, then have the rest of the day to digest your thoughts and help lead you into 2021.
The vehicle recycling industry has been tremendous throughout the pandemic period, and we very much believe that we should all have the opportunity to get together as best as we can so that we can feel a little unity in these difficult times.
Arranging these webinars is our way of saying ‘thank you’, and I would also like to thank the speakers for donating their time. We at ATF Professional are looking forward to welcoming and see you at these upcoming events.”
There is no charge for the webinars, but donations can be made to the BEN automotive charity who provide care and support to those involved in the automotive industry, including the vehicle recycling industry.
With the opportunity to listen to some of the top names in the business offering something of interest to everyone and meet up with friends and colleagues old and new, we hope to see you on the 19th, 20th, and 26th January.
