Following the announcement of new tier 4 restrictions for London, the south-east and east of England, Copart reassures their customers that it remains business as usual.
Copart has remained operational since the first COVID-19 lockdown back in March, having been quickly deemed an essential service to the insurance sector. Since then, they have adapted the way they work to ensure that they can continue serving Members and Sellers across the globe while ensuring that their front-line staff remain safe and protected.
With their entire sales process already fully digital, they have continued to operate successfully throughout. They have even taken the opportunity to push forward with several new tech projects including the Copart Transportation App, Owner Connect SMS Service, and numerous enhancements to their patented online auction platform – which have made the customer journey quicker and easier than ever before.
And, throughout this pandemic, Copart have never stopped investing…into land, fleet, and technology.
Copart’s total owned UK wide logistics fleet is stronger than ever before, with over 400 vehicles, keeping their services moving efficiently across all areas of the country.
Copart’s robust network of Operation Centres, located strategically across the UK, gives them the advantage of both operational expertise from over 1,100 employees and unrivalled storage capacity of over 400 acres in total.
Copart recently announced major expansion plans for their Bristol Operation Centre, making this location set to become a 63-acre Super Centre for the South West, alongside other expansions in Wisbech and York and continuous improvements at their other existing Centres.
All of this means that, despite the new tier 4 restrictions, Copart have no intention of slowing down.
Copart will continue to invest and improve to ensure that their customers continue to receive the operational excellence they have come to expect from a global market leader like Copart.
Jane Pocock, Managing Director of Copart UK & Ireland, said:
“Our Operation Centres based in the south-east and east of England will remain unaffected by the new tier 4 restrictions and we will continue to collect damaged vehicles from these areas.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have continued to adapt and improve our processes and technology to ensure that our customers can be served swiftly and safely. Our customers have access to a completely contactless digital journey – from collection and delivery apps to online payment options – and should they need to visit our Operation Centres, they can be confident that we have all the necessary safety and social-distancing measures in place to protect them.”
