Environmentally friendly blueprint for Copart offices of the future

As part of a programme to upgrade and replace offices at Copart’s nationwide Operation Centres, works are underway in Bristol to develop an environmentally friendly office blueprint for the future network of Copart Super Centres.

Last year Copart accelerated development plans in Bristol, to make this location a 63-acre ‘Super Centre’ for the South West.

Works underway include areas for vehicles that require specialist handling, like EV’s, and contingency land in the event of catastrophes where surge management services are required by their insurance customers. There will also be brand-new vehicle preparation areas that will enable vehicle inspections, valeting and 360° imaging.

Investment is now being made into a bespoke new office building at Bristol, which will further support Copart’s people, services, and technology, as they continue their rapid expansion.

Wellbeing, inclusion, and diversity have been key considerations, with the provision of a quiet prayer room, first aid room, easily accessible disabled toilet facilities, and onsite shower facilities for teammates wishing to cycle to work or exercise during their break times.

Copart is committed to encompassing all elements of their Copart Cares campaign into the design of their offices of the future, ensuring they are inclusive, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly.

To be ‘fit for the future’, the building offers strong green credentials. State of the art insulation, low energy LED lighting throughout, and onsite waste treatment facilities to filter and clean water, will all contribute towards a sustainable and environmentally-friendly office.

Copart’s passion to keep growing and improving services to their customers remains paramount, with other elements of the new office including flexible meeting spaces for both teammates and visitors, and a large conferencing area that will enable Copart to host events with their insurance partners.

With exciting plans in the pipeline to develop a network of Super Centres, and make improvements to existing sites, Copart is keen to use the new Bristol office as a prototype for their larger sites.

“As a global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, operating in the most responsible way is always top of Copart’s agenda. As a partner of choice for most major insurers, we are pleased to share our vision for a greener future, and our sustainability refurbishment programme will be key to reducing our carbon footprint.

We are committed to encompassing all elements of our Copart Cares campaign – which includes caring about the environment, our customers, and our teammates – into the design of Copart’s offices of the future, ensuring they are inclusive, energy-efficient, and are constructed in an environmentally friendly way.”

The new office at Bristol is anticipated to be operational by September 2021.
