RAW2K, a leading car auction site is offering free registration for both buyers and sellers across the UK and Europe.
RAW2K offers a simple-to-use website for individuals, traders and businesses to buy and sell salvage vehicles. Its auction site sells more than 30,000 vehicles every year from sites across the UK, ranging from accident damaged and stolen recovered cars from private or public sector contracts, to trade and private entry vehicles.
The site caters to sellers and buyers alike, with a register of more than 30,000 bidders actively seeking vehicles for purchase and a nationwide network of sellers with cars ready for auction.
Registration and membership are now free for both the public and trade across the UK and in Europe, allowing members to buy and sell vehicles through the site.
For those seeking to sell – who must be registered members of the automotive industry – RAW2K offers a range of services including vehicle collection and preparation, producing photography and writing descriptions for listings, as well as auctioning vehicles from a client’s own facilities.
RAW2K’s operations manager Sharon Moore said:
“Whether you’re selling or buying a vehicle with us, we guarantee a professional, efficient and reliable service,” She added: “We’re dealing with high volumes and a variety of vehicles from a range of sources – individuals, businesses and public sector contracts – and have a large register of bidders so we offer great returns and competitive prices.”
Vehicles auctioned on the site include insurance categories B (breaker-only for ATFs only), S/C (structural damage) and N/D (non-structural damage) and X category (unrecorded, stolen recovered, abandoned or impounded/seized) vehicles from public sector contracts, as well as trade and private entry cars.
Members registered on the site fall into two categories. Class One can bid on any vehicle authorised to return to be used on UK roads; Class Two can bid on the same along with Category B breakers not authorised for road use.
Now it is working with industry expert Simon Bastin-Mitchell to further develop and improve its offering, including extending its offering to buyers in Europe and introducing the free registration for all members.
The business has recently expanded its offering to vehicle recyclers and dismantlers across Europe, now offering an additional dismantling service for Europe-based buyers who purchase vehicles through its auction platform and advising on shipping parts.
As its name suggests, RAW2K was founded in 2000 and has since organically grown to be one of the UK’s leading online vehicle auction sites with a reputation for trusted relationships and high-quality services. It was taken over by the national Recycling Lives Group, a nationwide scrap metal and scrap car recycler, in 2017, meaning its work supports the charitable activities of the Recycling Lives Charity which delivers programmes to tackle food poverty, support the homeless and reduce reoffending. This latter programme is proving popular with police forces awarding contracts for RAW2K to dispose of seized or salvaged vehicles, knowing its work with Recycling Lives supports a reduction in crime and reoffending rates.
