In addition to the numerous car recyclers, this year again the representatives of the ELV departments of car manufacturers, certifiers and representatives of the authorities were also present.
For the first time, the Ministry of Transport were at the event and gave not only thought provoking presentations but were available for those wishing to speak to them at their infomobile.
Very noticeable was the increased interest in e-mobility and the associated changes for dismantlers.
The lecture programme ranged from new legal regulations to practical tips for handling airbags and high-voltage batteries through to digital concepts for dismantlers. Another major topic regarded the fight against illegal scrapyards.
The presentation given by the environmental office showed interesting insights into the fight on the part of the authorities.
The exhibitor hall had a wide range of recyclers, car auctions, remanufacturers, machinery, workshop supplies and clothing as well as towing vehicles, software and insurance. Companies including Powerhand, Hensel and Seda were in attendance as exhibitors.
Preparations for the 14th AVT conference have already begun and the dates set for the next meeting are the 29th and 30th September 2020 again in Hohenroda.
