After a testing 18 months, the Complete Auto Recycling Show is just around the corner and as organisations in the sector prepare to reconnect at the first large scale event in three years, we take a look at exactly what CARS is all about.
Setup by the sector in 2012, for the benefit of businesses and organisations connected to the processing of end of life vehicles, CARS has become the meeting place for the UK vehicle recycling market. This year, the event will take place on 29 & 30 September at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry.
Featuring two full days of content, CARS is still overseen by industry figureheads with their ear to the ground on critical developments and the programme is designed to help visitors find new business opportunities, maximise profits, and futureproof their business.
A key topic on the agenda this year is the developing market for green parts which features contributions from a variety of key stakeholders including; the VRA Certification, eBay, Aviva, AW Repair, ABP Club and more. This topic is split over two sessions on the afternoon of day one.
Other topics in the spotlight include a headline session addressing trends and predictions on the future of the wider automotive industry. The focus for day two is fire prevention and safe processing, handling and storage of lithium-ion batteries.
But what has made CARS such a success over the past 9 years is that it’s not a traditional sterile, exhibition. Featuring a unique Live Demonstration Area, Skills Lab and an emphasis on relaxed and informal networking, there’s plenty to keep you busy over the two days.
See the kit in action and discover the latest innovations that could help bolster your offering. Witness vehicles being depolluted in the Skill Lab, along with the latest techniques and safety guidance when processing electric vehicles and lithium-ion batteries.
Social & Networking
After a busy day of expert content and conversations with like-minded people, visitors can take a break from the show and relax with a drink. Either on a stand at one of a number of planned receptions, in the Green Parts Specialist Bar or at the Hollander International Reunion BBQ. To bring as many people together as many people as possible, this year the BBQ is FREE to attend. Everyone is welcome and the event features live music, cold drinks and a sumptuous BBQ Buffet.
Co-located metals recycling event (MRE)
CARS is co-located with MRE, an event dedicated to metals recycling allowing visitors to expand their network and discover new business opportunities. Visitors can join one of the pre-scheduled meetings on-site, book their own meeting or arrange a time to meet with EMR, who are taking appointment bookings on the afternoon of day one of the show.
And what’s more, the whole event is FREE to attend with FREE parking at a centrally located venue enabling organisations from all corners of the UK to attend. You’d be mad to miss it!
